E3, Anime-Expo, Comic-Con

It's going to be a fun summer! E3 is coming up first in about two weeks, then Anime-Expo in July, then Comic-Con shortly after that. Perks of being an animator never seem to slow down. =)

Psyren - Manga

This is one of my favorite new Mangas I've been reading. It's a weekly jump comic about some guys who are trying to prevent the destruction of the world in the future by solving the mystery of who destroys it in the present, and they have all these kick ass powers and some other cool stuff.

This one comes with a JayG Guarantee

Check it out here: http://www.onemanga.com/Psyren/

Prince of Tennis: Anime/Manga

So I started reading this manga last week and all of the sudden I wanted to try Tennis. It's pretty good, a bit repetitive but it's definitely my style and I'm enjoying it. Check it out at the link below.

So I bought myself a racket and some tennis balls and I've been trying it out, so far it's surprisingly a ton of fun. It's hard though, serving owns me. Look forward to an update on Jay's uber tennis skills. Very important information I know.

Seirei No Moribito - Anime/Manga

This series was recommended to me today, so I started watching. So far so good! I'll give you another update when I finish it and let you know what I think. For now though if you're looking for something new, check it out. I'm enjoying it, about five episodes in so far. Thanks to Champion without the "o" for the suggestion.

Code Geass: Lelouche of the Rebellion - Anime/Manga

I just finished a series that I really enjoyed and would like to pass on to all of you awesome people. Champion got me hooked a few weeks ago and I encourage anyone who is an anime fan to check this series out right away. The writing is fantastic, art is cool, good characters, plot twists you can't even imagine. Not your average stuff here.

Capeta - Japanese Animation and Manga

I finished a new anime on Sunday. It's titled, "Capeta". It's the story of a boy on his journey to become an F1 driver in Japan. He starts off racing karts as a young ten year old and the story follows him all the way to his professional career. I really enjoyed, give it a google and see what you think.

Soul Eater Anime and Manga

If you're into comics and anime/animation, check out his show, Soul Eater.

It's got a great story, GREAT artwork, very stylized and decent animation. This is one of the few cases where I will say the anime is better than the manga just because of how nice the artwork is drawn in full color and the relative quality of the animation within.

It's very much worth checking out at least an episode or two. Funimation already bought the rights to it and has been trying to get fan subbers to quit releasing japanese episodes (how lame can they be really?) but people are still subbing it thankfully. You couldn't pay me to watch Funimation's bastardized shit-hole version.

Deoderant Expo '07

Today was awesome! I woke up at 11am and made myself some Dunkin Donuts hazelnut coffee, a bowl of frosted flakes and an egg sandwich on toasted wheat bread. I played a little Neverwinter Nights as I ate and talked to some friends about how amazingly amazing the movie Rattatouille was. It is so good, highly recommended. After eating, playing, watching and talking, I left to pick up Emily and start our adventure towards Anime Expo '07 in Long Beach. Tons of crazy dressed up Cosplayers, tons of awesome artwork, anime for sale, posters, tshirts, manga, toys, anything you can think of. It was a really awesome time. Too many smelly people though! Emily and I had hoped to dress up but we kind of slacked in costume making due to being busy with other things. Next year however, it's on. I scored some pretty neat artwork to hang above my desk. A good time, thanks Em!
