E3 Was Fun

I went to E3 last week!

Games I'm looking forward to:
  • Ruse
  • Marvel Vs. Capcom II (rerelease for Xbox 360)
  • Rogue Warrior
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • DJ Hero (kind of)
  • Capcom vs. Tatsunoko
  • Assassins Creed II
  • Blur Racing
  • Scribblenauts (AWESOME)
  • Modern Warfare II (kind of)
I didn't get any photos unfortunately but man it was a lot of fun. Google 'Microsoft Natal' if you haven't seen the demo(s) yet. Technology is getting scary.

Alas, Darkfall

I've stopped playing officially. Haven't been on in a long time but I wasn't quite sure yet if I was going to stop completely. I came to the decision that the career comes first and I really just don't have the capacity anymore to do both and give it my all. I can't play casually, it's not in my wiring. In Shadowbane I didn't have much of a job so it was totally fine to defend the city until 7am 5 nights a week. Can't do that stuff anymore though and keep up with life around it. I might come back later in the year but most likely not.

My account is spoken for already, sorry!

Final Fantasy VII - I still love this game..

After all this time this game still rules. Emily and I are playing through it again. Such good fun.

Tifa imo!

Darkfall's Launch

Darkfall had an incredibly rocky start, and continues to be up and down since Wednesday but things are starting to clear up. Now into the fourth or fifth day of play, things seem to be going smoothly. It was technically still February 25th at my house when the game finally launched, so cheers to them! (~11:40pm)

If you haven't been able to buy the game yet, do not panic. It will open up soon, everyone will get in eventually. Better to let people in slow than to let everyone in and have it be unplayable.

This game freakin' rules man...it's so awesome. So much death.

Darkfall Pre-Order Stuff, Continued...

Seems the pre-order got completely screwed up when they received ~20x the traffic they anticipated all at once. Tasos (Dev) issued a statement saying that basically their servers were being hammered beyond all reasonable expectation. It's broken now, and most people haven't been able to pre-order it at all. It's fortunate that so many people are interested in the game, but I'm a bit scared of what's going to happen to the servers on release. Here's hoping they didn't overestimate their capacity and under-estimate the amount of players that would be coming.

I happened across the pre-order about a minute after they posted it and managed to be one of the first handful of successful orders. So yeah, that is awesome.

Wild Arms = Win.

Wild Arms (1) for Playstation (1). This is in my top 3 favorite games of all time. Few are the games that have given me more immersion, fun, and excitement than this one here. Play it if you ever get the chance, it's amazing.
